Scar Therapy with Caz ~ Movement Coach & Trainee Osteopath

I understand exactly how you feel because I’ve been there myself.

Having lived with extensive surgical scarring for over 30 years following multiple abdominal surgeries, I know the physical restrictions and emotional challenges that come with post-surgical life. That’s why I’ve dedicated my practice to helping people like you rediscover confidence and freedom in their bodies.

As a Scar and Movement Specialist currently training in Osteopathy, I combine deep personal experience with evidence-based techniques to help you move beyond the limitations that surgery or injury has created.

The Gravity Technique goes beyond the cookie-cutter approach to pain relief. It’s built on the understanding that each body is unique, with its own specific needs and patterns. By focusing on intelligent, tailored movement, we work to restore your body’s natural balance and free you from pain—often in as few as 1-6 sessions.

Now, as I pursue my degree in Osteopathy, I’m integrating new techniques and deeper anatomical understanding into my practice, offering an even more comprehensive approach to pain relief and mobility restoration.

What Sets The Gravity Technique Apart?

Personal Understanding

Having walked this path myself through multiple surgeries and 30+ years with keloid scarring, I don't just understand your challenges professionally—I've overcome them personally.

Root Cause Focus

That shoulder pain after breast cancer surgery? The hip stiffness after your operation? We trace these issues back to their fascial and postural origins, not just treat the symptoms.

Confidence Restoration

This isn't just about physical restrictions. I understand the fear, the feeling of being disconnected from your body, and the frustration of not knowing what you can safely do.

Rapid, Lasting Results

Most clients experience significant improvement within 1-3 sessions, with many reporting they wish they'd found this support sooner.

Evidence-based Techniques

Currently training in Osteopathy (BSc), I integrate fascial release, scar tissue mobilization, and osteopathic principles for comprehensive treatment.

Whole Body Approach

We don't just treat the scar itself. Using biotensegrity principles, I address how your scar affects your entire movement system, from posture to gait patterns.

What to Expect in Your Session

Your 45-minute Soft Tissue Session combines the best of my established Gravity Technique with new osteopathic approaches for a comprehensive treatment experience.

Comprehensive Assessment

We begin by understanding your complete story - your surgical history, current restrictions, and daily challenges. I'll assess how your scars have affected your movement patterns and identify compensation strategies your body has developed. This often reveals surprising connections between your scar and seemingly unrelated pain or stiffness.

Specialised Scar Therapy

Experience gentle yet effective techniques specifically designed for scar tissue release: Fascial mobilisation to restore tissue flexibility and movement Scar tissue remodelling using specialised manual techniques Adhesion release to free restrictions between tissue layers Lymphatic drainage to reduce swelling and improve healing Nervous system calming as scars often hold trauma patterns

Movement Restoration

Address the whole-body effects of your scar through: Postural realignment to correct compensation patterns Gait analysis and correction to restore natural walking patterns Joint mobility restoration affected by fascial restrictions Breathing pattern correction often impacted by abdominal or chest scars Core function rehabilitation following abdominal procedures

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect from my session?

Your session will begin with a comprehensive movement assessment to identify any underlying issues affecting your posture, mobility, or pain levels. This is followed by hands-on osteopathic treatment, incorporating soft tissue work, postural realignment, and fascial techniques. You'll also receive personalized movement strategies to help maintain and build on the progress made during the session.

What should I wear to my session?

Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is best. Leggings, shorts, or joggers with a flexible top allow for easy movement and assessment. If necessary, you may be asked to remove certain layers for a more effective evaluation, but your comfort and privacy will always be respected.

Why is The Gravity Technique different?

Unlike traditional osteopathy, which often focuses on symptom relief, The Gravity Technique goes deeper—addressing the root cause of movement issues. By integrating osteopathic principles, fascia-focused therapy, and biomechanics, we don't just treat pain; we help you restore function and prevent recurrence. The approach is science-backed yet holistic, providing long-term solutions rather than just temporary relief.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes! I recommend parking on the single yellow line on The Rise, HP7 9AG, which is just a 5-minute walk from the clinic. The clinic itself is located between The Cake Box and Veg 4U, directly opposite Amersham Tube station.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies depending on your condition and goals. Some people experience significant improvement after just one session, while others may benefit from a short course of treatment. The goal is to equip you with the tools and knowledge to manage and maintain your progress independently.

Do you accept insurance or payment plans?

At the moment, I do not process direct insurance claims. If you need a payment plan for ongoing sessions, feel free to reach out and we can discuss options.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?

Life happens! If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a cancellation fee. You can do this by calling, texting, or emailing me directly.
